A gift is an expression of our affection, but it can convey much more than just that. Someone is celebrating a birthday, and you want to tell them you love them today and always. You want to wish a graduate or newlywed best wishes for a bright future. You want to give encouragement to a loved one enduring an illness or setback.
A heavenly angel gift is accompanied not only by your own message of goodwill ~ the angel itself carries a message of its own that the recipient hears each time they glance at it. An angel whispers ~ you are loved ~ there is hope ~ you're not alone ~ believe in your dreams ~ and so much more. When you need a very special gift for someone dear, give an angel!

Angels at Tea
My family and friends surprised me with a Grande Afternoon Tea at a local country club to celebrate a milestone birthday. The guests ranged in age from seven to eighty, every one very dear to me. There were no "just friends" present ~ these were all true, through thick or thin, just pick up the phone and I'm there friends. It's a blessing to have such people in your life, and even more special to have family who are also friends.
The tea service was exquisite with delicate Lenox china, each person having their own individual pot holding their choice of tea. The food was as delightful to taste as it was to behold. The starter course of vegetable tart and bonfire warmer soup made this a "grande" tea as opposed to an "afternoon" tea. That was followed by scones with Devonshire cream and fresh strawberry jam, dainty tea sandwiches, and miniature, scrumptious desserts. The setting, a windowed room with fireplace, was lovely. Though I considered the guests' presence to be their presents, I nonetheless received some wonderful gifts that I'll treasure all the more for the thought that went into choosing them. Of course, the best gift of all is the memory of that day that I'll keep forever in my heart.
Perhaps I'm a dreamer, but when a room is filled with love as that room was, I feel the overwhelming presence of angels, basking in the joyful energy being radiated outward. I imagine a choir of angels singing sweet songs, envision a protective wing wrapped around the shoulder of a child or elder, or hear a cluster of cherubs giggling in a corner.
I think that whether or not they're really there, is less important than the fact that I believe they are. I've discovered that we usually find what we're looking for, so I always look for the best. So much of life is perception ~ and we have a tendency to look too much with our eyes and too little with our hearts. Life is a mirror that reflects what you put into it, so expect good things ~ angels, friendship, rainbows, miracles ~ and watch what happens!
